The Petrochemical industry is primarily focused on the production of chemical products derived from petroleum. Some chemical compounds made from petroleum are also obtained from other fossil fuels, such as coal or natural gas, or renewable sources such as corn or sugar cane.
Petrochemicals (ethylene, propylene, benzene and others) are shipped to chemical plants, where they are used to manufacture chemicals and plastics (see Rubber & Plastics industry). The refining process of these chemicals is such that it requires the use of reliable and safety tested industrial controls that work under demanding conditions.
The Nematron™ brand UL Class I, Division 2 certified petrochemical industrial computer displays meet those safety and reliability requirements while providing the durability and performance to get the job done right.
